One collectible category · Asking prices only
See what sellers are asking — and catch the listing under your target.
Asking-price analysis + watcher alerts for one collectible category: see the current asking-price spread at a glance, then get alerted when a new listing appears below the price you set.
That is the whole tool in one line. This mock demos it with invented sample listings so you can click through the flow before any real niche, data source, or pricing is decided.
What it would do
- Distribution first: median asking price, sample count, and full price range for the category — not a single “average” that hides the spread.
- Watcher alerts: set a target price; when a new listing is asking less, you get one clear alert with the asking price and a link out.
- One niche, done well: built for a single collectible category, not every category on eBay at once.
What it does not show: sold prices
True sold prices are not available to new developers through eBay’s public developer access, so this tool — and this mock — never presents sold prices as data.
Everything here is asking prices only, and in this mock every asking price is sample data, labelled as such. No real eBay data, no scraping, no API connection is claimed or used.
Want the real sold history? Use eBay’s own sold search:

Step 1 — Pick
Choose the category
Pick a sample category in the demo. In a real version this would be the one niche the tool covers.
Step 2 — Read the spread
Median, count, range
A sample histogram plus median asking price, listing count, and low–high range. All sample-labelled.
Step 3 — Watch
Set a target, get alerted
Try the watcher form — it is a staging placeholder and stores nothing — and see a sample alert.

Pick a sample category below. The chart, stats, and listings all update — and all of them stay sample data. Each category is a placeholder; picking one here does not pick the real niche.

Invented listings for demonstration only. Not real eBay listings, not real prices.
Distribution of asking prices Sample chart
How the 128 sample listings spread across price buckets. Taller bar = more sample listings asking in that range.
X-axis: asking-price bucket (sample $). Y-axis: number of sample listings. This chart is drawn from the invented sample dataset in this page — it is not eBay data.
Need sold prices? They live on eBay, not here.
This view shows asking prices only. For what items actually sold for, use eBay’s own sold search — this mock links out and never imports or displays sold prices as data.

Watcher alerts
Set a target once; the tool watches new listings and flags anything asking less. Below is a sample alert and the staging setup form.
Sample watcher alert
New listing below your target — sample
“1968 Topps-style sample card, VG” just listed at $59 asking (sample) — below your $70 target (sample). Sample median asking is $84, so this sample listing sits $25 under the sample median.
This alert is invented for the mock. No listing was found, no alert was sent, and no watcher is running.
Set up a watcher
This form demonstrates the setup flow only. Submitting it saves nothing, sends nothing, and creates no account or alert.
Your sample watchers Sample list
These two watchers are part of the mock’s sample data — they are not yours and nothing is being watched.
Target under $70 · Sample$70
Target under $45 · Sample$45
Paused in sample · Sample$30
In a real version, this is where active watchers, last-alert time, and pause / delete controls would live.
Asking ≠ sold
A watcher flags a low asking price. It does not prove the item will sell at that price, or that it is a bargain versus sold history.
